As the new year begins
And we look back at what we did
Learn from it
Then move forward.
As you do,
Be That Person.
That person who listens:
To others
To those who know more
To those who have experience.
Be that person who cares:
For those around you
For those you have yet to meet
For those who need help.
Be that person who shares:
Your expertise
Your words
Your knowledge
Be that person:
Whose life brings
Value, love and sparkle
To everyone in the room.
As you move through this
One precious life we live,
Learn how to Be That Person:
Who makes a difference
Who listens,
Who cares,
Who shares,
Whose life brings value
To all that pass you by.

It is from the top of the mountain
Or somewhere by the sea
That I can think clearly and
know what means most to me.
I am thankful and most grateful
For all that I have been given
Although I’d like to say I’ve earned it
By working hard and giving back.
My family is at the top of the list
When I think of what I’ve accomplished in life
as of them I am most proud.
Especially as it continues on to my 8
Grandchildren -3rd generation now.
As 2021 approaches
I know we can all agree
That we look forward to the new year
With all it will provide
Knowing it will be better than 2020
By a huge landslide.
I wish you all much happiness
My family and my friends,
Great joy and good health too
As we embark into the new year
Filled with promise and high hopes
We are more than ready -
that’s for sure!
Bring it on 2021!
Happy New Year!
I appreciate each one of you and wish you the best the new year has to offer.

New year
New hopes
New decisions
Resolutions
How many will
You make
Or
More Importantly
How many will you keep?
Listen to your voice
The one inside your head
No excuses this time
We’ve got it firmly implanted
In our heart and in our minds.
Do what’s best for you
Make it happen today
This is a new beginning
Remind yourself of your why
Becoming very specific.
Have faith and believe
As you’ve got the willingness
Do what it is that will bring you
To what your heart desires.
Understanding fully though,
It will take some hard work, not just
Wishing and hoping to get you to
The place where good health resides.

Some things 2020 has taught me:
- Fear is a liar. I alone am responsible for my results.
- I’ve learned to always ask the question.
- Get specific.
- Be willing. It has nothing to do with being ready. The first step in beginning anything is to know that you are willing. After that, anything is possible.
- Go Deeper. Be Clearer.
- Be aware of those things that
that become your triggers.
- Growth and change equals opportunity.
- Awareness of self is key.
- Happiness and good health are the destination points.
- What is the deeper need?
- Successful people ask for help. Break the thread of not asking.
- Let the first idea not be your
last.
- Be drama free.
- It is the person who matters.
- Do the most important thing first each day.
- Easy is earned.
- Put yourself in the way of beauty.
- Change your perspective
- Eliminate your “ but”
- Brighter days are ahead; the hugs, the laughter, the good times will return.
- Believe in yourself. “Yes, I can!” is my mantra.
- Kindness is key. Give back where you can.
- Smile. Love. Never give up.

I shall not take for granted:
- Good health
- Those who love me
- A good book
- Tea by the fireplace
- The smell of a morning coffee
- The promise of a sunrise/sunset
- Interesting conversations
- The kindness a smile offers
- Peace of mind and heart
- The view of the moon today at 6:08 AM
I have learned through this pandemic to appreciate all that life has to offer. Most of them free for the taking. What does your top 10 look like?

This pandemic
I will remember the quiet and wishing there was conversation.
I will remember the uncertainty and wishing for confidence.
I will remember everyone moving slowly and marvel that it was so.
I will remember the quarantine
and sickness, statistics and tests
I will remember the ache in my heart
The sadness
Because I love people and
a good hug
But they say stay 6 feet away
But then I think
Hold on
Be strong
You’ve got this
That this, too, will pass.
The laughter
The hugs
Life as we once knew it, will return
It will get better
While
The lessons
the pandemic has taught
will remain.
